Job description

Position Overview

This role serves as a Regulatory Affairs Program Coordinator with a registered nurse (RN) background, focusing on supporting accreditation and compliance activities within a healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate readiness activities, including mock surveys and process tracer exercises by compiling, analyzing, and reporting data.
  • Interpret and apply regulations from CMS, The Joint Commission, and other regulatory bodies governing hospital, laboratory, and ambulatory care standards.
  • Create and present educational content about healthcare licensure, accreditation, and compliance updates.
  • Partner with organizational leaders and staff to recognize risks, establish corrective action plans, and monitor ongoing compliance improvements.
  • Perform tracers and audits, support clinical documentation, and help clinicians enhance processes for better compliance.
  • Assist with survey preparations, participate in on-site survey activities, and manage post-survey follow-up tasks.

Qualification Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
  • Possession of an active RN license, either compact or single-state.
  • Clinical experience of at least 2 years in acute care settings required; 5 years preferred.
  • Competency with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint along with data management skills.
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) credential is an advantage.
