About the Role
Comfort Keepers is expanding its team and seeking a compassionate Registered Care Aide (RCA) for the Vancouver area. Our organization is a trusted provider of in-home care services, supporting seniors and adults who need assistance or companionship in their residences.
Responsibilities
- Support delivery of client care and home assistance as directed by the healthcare team.
- Help clients with personal care, actively observe and report any significant changes in their condition.
- Work collaboratively with clients, their caregivers, and healthcare professionals to enhance independence in daily and instrumental activities.
- Assist with bathing, dressing, mobility, feeding, and toileting.
- Perform household tasks such as meal preparation, grocery shopping, and laundry.
- Encourage and engage clients in their care routines.
- Provide input and feedback to healthcare teams during care planning.
- Ensure a clean, safe environment for both clients and staff.
- Drive clients to appointments and social outings when necessary.
Requirements
- Possession of a valid Health Care Assistant (HCA) Certificate and registration in BC.
- Current First Aid and CPR certifications.
- Clear Criminal Record Check.
- Reliable access to a mobile phone.
- Driver’s license and personal vehicle is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Fluency in Spanish and English is an added benefit.
