Job description

Role Overview

This opportunity is being shared for a partner organization that handles the application review and all subsequent hiring steps. The employer is seeking a Regional Vice President in the United States.

This is a senior leadership role with complete profit-and-loss responsibility across a large multi-state region covering roughly 50 branches. The position focuses on improving operational performance, financial results, and customer experience while ensuring day-to-day execution supports broader enterprise objectives. As a leader in a distributed, field-based environment, you will guide District and Branch Managers to deliver strong outcomes across sales, service, safety, and sustainability metrics. The role blends strategic direction with hands-on operational leadership and requires frequent travel across the Western United States. A major part of the job will be supporting acquisition integration and driving organic growth through disciplined execution and ongoing improvement. Key measures of success include EBITDA growth, stable operational performance, and strong local leadership teams.

Key Accountabilities

  • Take full ownership of regional financial performance, with responsibility for EBITDA results through careful management of revenue, expense structure, and operating efficiency.
  • Coach and develop District and Branch Managers so execution remains consistent across sales, service delivery, safety, and customer experience indicators.
  • Review branch performance data to spot gaps in revenue, profitability, and productivity, then put corrective action plans in place.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning efforts with the finance team to ensure accountability across all operating units.
  • Run Monthly Operating Reviews and ensure discussions are grounded in data, produce actionable countermeasures, and support continuous improvement.
  • Build stronger sales execution by mentoring leaders on sales approach, performance management, and pipeline growth.
  • Work closely with merger and acquisition teams to help integrate acquired branches and align operations and culture smoothly.
  • Support employee engagement and leadership growth through succession planning, talent evaluation, and identification of high-potential team members.
  • Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards while promoting a culture of accountability and risk prevention.
  • Represent the region at industry and customer-facing events, helping strengthen the brand and market presence.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will bring extensive leadership experience in multi-site or distributed operations, with a proven record of managing full P&L ownership. You should be comfortable leading large, field-based teams and influencing performance across sales, operations, and customer service functions. Strong financial understanding, executive communication skills, and the ability to lead in a fast-growing, acquisition-driven environment are essential. The role also calls for strong judgment in using dashboards and KPIs to make informed decisions, along with the willingness to travel heavily.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree is required; an MBA or another advanced degree is highly preferred.
  • 10–15+ years of progressive leadership experience with full P&L accountability in a multi-site or distributed operating model.
  • Demonstrated success leading large field-based teams across sales, operations, and customer service settings.
  • Strong financial expertise, including a clear understanding of EBITDA drivers, expense control, and operational efficiency levers.
  • Experience developing leaders at different levels, from frontline managers to senior operational leaders.
  • A track record of improving performance across complex organizations spread across multiple locations.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and executive stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-growth environment where acquisitions are part of the business strategy.
  • Comfort using performance dashboards, KPIs, and data-led decision-making tools.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively, up to 75%.

Benefits

  • Base pay of $250,000 to $315,000 per year.
  • Annual bonus tied to performance and equity participation.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401(k) plan with employer matching contribution.
  • Paid time off and company holidays.
  • Company vehicle program plus related support for field operations.
  • Ongoing investment in training, leadership development, and continuing education.
  • Opportunity to lead a large regional business with meaningful acquisition-growth exposure.
  • A collaborative field-based culture centered on safety, performance, and continuous improvement.
