Role Overview

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for accelerating sales growth, enhancing market footprint, and establishing scalable business frameworks throughout the Western Europe region. This position involves setting up and overseeing Distributor Sales Models in alignment with the company’s strategic expansion goals, while driving growth across multiple Western European countries.

Location Preference

Ideal candidates should be based in Italy, Benelux, Nordics, Greece, or Cyprus.

Candidate Profile

  • Graduate or postgraduate qualification in Business Management, Sales, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in international sales focusing on ophthalmic or medical implantable consumables, with extensive exposure to various Western European markets.
  • Proven success in consistently exceeding sales targets within highly competitive and dynamic environments; experience managing direct, hybrid, or indirect sales in partnership with company collaborators.
  • Strong command of CRM tools, preferably Salesforce, with the capability to interpret business data and derive actionable insights.
  • Flexibility to undertake frequent travel, up to 15 working days monthly, including attending industry conferences, meetings, and weekend commitments if necessary.
  • Exceptional cross-cultural communication skills, stakeholder management, negotiation prowess, and team leadership, combined with efficient cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of additional Western European languages considered advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement Distributor Sales strategies across Western Europe.
  • Lead initiatives for market expansion and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure regional profitability.
  • Manage critical sales procedures including pipeline tracking, field activity monitoring, and performance reporting via Salesforce or similar CRM systems.
  • Promote usage of Salesforce-based attendance and sales reporting among internal and partner teams.
  • Analyze market trends, business data, and risks to inform strategic decisions.
  • Consistently meet sales, revenue, and growth targets as per the company’s overall objectives.
  • Represent the company at regional trade events and conferences upon management approval.
  • Coordinate educational and promotional programs with regional partners.
  • Submit timely travel plans, reports, and activity updates through the designated company tools.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, partners, and customers throughout Western Europe.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and regional regulatory compliance.

  • Strong presentation skills for regional and international forums.
