Overview
Brady Corporation is looking for a Regional Sales Manager to lead all sales activities within a $65 million territory. The role involves managing relationships with both end users and distributors to generate new sales and sustain current business. This position includes leadership of a sales team, oversight of a $5 million budget, and delivery of accurate sales forecasts.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive all regional sales efforts to establish and maintain relationships with end users and distributors, converting market demand into revenue.
- Lead the sales representatives in the region to meet key sales objectives and initiatives.
- Manage financial operations for a $65 million sales region along with a $5 million operational budget.
- Mentor and develop team members and other sales managers, fostering growth and advancement.
- Create and oversee budgets, ensure timely reporting of expenses, and prepare business plans as directed by the U.S. Sales Director.
- Participate in product launches, industry trade shows, and conferences to promote sales.
- Provide ongoing coaching to the sales team in areas such as need generation, prospecting, solution selling, pipeline management, product knowledge, and negotiation techniques.
- Implement corporate sales strategies and initiatives effectively within the region.
- Facilitate communication between Brady Corporate and the field sales team.
- Control travel and entertainment expenses of the sales staff within the region.
- Develop and execute annual business plans, and oversee individual territory business plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business or a related four-year field.
- At least five years of experience in outside sales.
- Proven track record in planning and implementing large scale projects with significant change management.
- Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce.com for managing sales activities and performance.
- Willingness and ability to travel overnight up to 40% of the time as required.
