Overview
The Regional Sales Manager role is designed to drive business growth and meet sales targets within a designated geographical area. The role emphasizes enhancing the effectiveness of the sales team by coaching and supporting them throughout various customer acquisition and service processes. Leadership of a team of Sales Managers is essential to ensure well-structured business operations aligned with company values.
Responsibilities
- Drive the achievement of premium and non-advisory annual recurring customer (NAAC) sales targets, contributing to the company's growth.
- Maintain continuous engagement with Sales Managers, conducting regular productivity reviews and encouraging participation in recognition and rewards programs.
- Facilitate smooth functioning of sales and service workflows by communicating updates on processes, rules, and regulations using training modules and directly supporting sales calls, issuance, and complaint resolution.
- Manage expense controls by understanding costs, securing commitments from channels before budget spending, and maintaining expense tracking per Sales Manager.
- Optimize team productivity by allocating responsibilities based on personnel strengths, setting targets aligned with each business unit's opportunities, and recruiting, developing, and training team members.
- Ensure profitable business acquisition methods by regularly reviewing transactions and maintaining customer engagement through welcome calls.
- Attain persistency targets by timely communication with customers, resolving their queries to facilitate smooth renewals.
- Support lead generation efforts by planning supplementary activities that complement centrally generated leads, exploring innovative methods to source prospects.
- Provide mentorship, supervision, and coaching to the team, delivering both on-the-job and classroom training for skill development.
Challenges
- Effectively grooming the sales team to skillfully close leads through advisory and need-based selling approaches.
