Job Overview
This role is designed to boost business growth and meet predefined targets by effectively managing a designated region or area. Key responsibilities include fostering and sustaining relationships with channel partners to drive incremental business and guiding their operations to ensure smooth business process flow. The position also involves overseeing a team of Sales Managers to uphold optimal business practices within the organization.
Key Challenges
- Reliance on the HDFC Bank relationships within an Open Architecture framework, requiring alignment to balance their priorities.
- Striking a balance between adherence to processes and meeting channel partners' expectations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Attain premium and revenue targets to contribute to the company's overall growth objectives.
- Engage continuously with channel partners and Circle Heads as per designated grids to foster collaboration.
- Identify and map key decision makers, establishing systematic review mechanisms at set intervals.
- Drive active implementation of recognition and reward (R&R) programs via innovative approaches with BSLI involvement.
- Ensure seamless operation of sales and related processes to maximize business opportunities.
- Communicate product or process changes and regulatory updates internally and externally through training modules.
- Support sales and service activities including sales calls, policy issuance, and complaint management.
- Manage customer requirements within the Open Architecture framework, leveraging extensive knowledge of insurance and banking products.
- Maintain robust relationships at all organizational levels to secure desired business outcomes.
- Lead effective channel management by utilizing R&R initiatives to encourage target behaviors.
- Oversee efficient allocation of resources to channel partners to achieve business goals.
- Drive target achievements such as 10% people retention, 20% team activation, 50% first-year premium issuance, 10% new policies, and product mix distribution: 20% traditional, 50% ULIP, 40% protection monthly.
- Increase business volume by 15% above Tata benchmark by providing insights into new products and sales strategies based on thorough channel analysis.
- Identify and address training requirements for in-house and channel teams.
- Ensure vacancy closures within 15 days to maintain team effectiveness.
- Innovate with relationship management to deepen market penetration and database utilization.
- Conduct regular business reviews to maintain a profitable product mix.
- Perform quality checks and monitor customer complaints, ensuring resolution within 72 hours.
- Enforce documented actions against employees failing in quality or conduct standards.
