Job Overview

The Regional Sales Head plays a critical role in accelerating revenue growth, expanding market presence, and enhancing customer satisfaction within designated states such as Telangana, Karnataka, North East, and Kolkata among others. This leadership position entails guiding a high-performing sales team, crafting and implementing tailored sales strategies, cultivating strong partnerships, and fulfilling sales targets to bolster the company’s long-term goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales expansion and meet revenue targets for each state under your purview.
  • Design and execute B2C sales strategies specific to the assigned region.
  • Recruit, manage, and grow the network of dealers, distributors, and retailers.
  • Foster enduring partnerships with channel collaborators to fuel business growth and loyalty.
  • Enhance brand awareness through localized marketing initiatives, retailer engagement, and campaigns.
  • Oversee product stock levels and coordinate supply chain operations statewide.
  • Lead and supervise Area Sales Managers, Territory Sales Officers, and the wider sales force.
  • Ensure the accomplishment of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales KPIs.
  • Seek out new market opportunities and unexplored territories with growth potential.
  • Monitor competitor strategies, pricing, and product developments to adapt business approaches.
  • Promote engagement programs targeting electricians, contractors, and influencers to boost retail demand.
  • Manage implementation of trade schemes, dealer incentives, and promotions.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, finance, logistics, and customer support teams.
  • Analyze sales metrics, forecast demand, and prepare management reports regularly.
  • Oversee timely collections, credit control, and ensure adherence to company policies.
  • Address key customer and channel partner concerns to maintain satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with ethical standards, company procedures, and legal regulations.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and dealer meetings within the region.

Requirements and Skills

  • Minimum 15 years of progressive sales experience, with at least 5 years in regional sales leadership.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting or surpassing sales goals.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with proven ability to manage teams effectively in competitive environments.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building expertise.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and CRM platforms.
  • Willingness to undertake frequent travel throughout the region.
  • Mandatory experience in the Cables & Wires industry.
