About the Role
American Express Global Business Travel is looking for a Regional Relationship Manager to oversee and expand a regional portfolio of accounts spread across several APAC markets. The role is centered on strengthening client partnerships, improving account performance, and supporting long-term customer success within a collaborative and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients to support retention and account stability.
- Identify opportunities to lift profitability through higher revenue and lower costs.
- Address and reduce transaction or volume leakage across accounts.
- Expand current relationships to generate additional business volume, both regionally and globally.
- Increase hotel adoption and encourage broader use of the online booking tool.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to meet shared business goals.
- Lead client reviews at local, regional, and global levels.
- Handle escalation cases and resolve account-related issues.
- Support other account-specific tasks as needed.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree plus experience in business, sales, or account management.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving, evolving industry and the ability to adapt quickly.
- A practical, broad-based mindset with the flexibility to handle varied responsibilities.
- Strong analytical thinking and commercial judgment supported by data-driven decisions.
- Experience working with large multinational B2B clients.
- A customer-focused approach with proven ability to build strong partnerships.
- An entrepreneurial attitude and motivation to drive growth.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to get into detailed issues while keeping the wider business picture in mind.
- Experience using SFDC is an advantage.
- Travel industry experience is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to travel from time to time based on client needs.
