About the role
American Express Global Business Travel is looking for a Junior Project Manager to support meetings and events programs in Germany. In this position, you will act as the main point of contact for assigned clients and take ownership of programs from early sourcing through planning, delivery, logistics, and final billing. The role is based in Frankfurt, Germany.

What you will do
- Take charge of program delivery from start to finish, creating timelines and work plans that keep everything on schedule.
- Manage the full event lifecycle in internal systems, including venue sourcing, planning, execution, and post-event reconciliation.
- Identify venues and suppliers, negotiate terms, and handle contracts for venues, travel, and external vendors.
- Work with IT, creative teams, and other internal partners to deliver a smooth program experience and required assets.
- Create detailed itineraries and agendas that cover all operational and logistical needs.
- Keep clients and stakeholders aligned through regular updates, progress tracking, and status meetings.
- Handle complex international, executive, and large-scale programs, including VIP travel and special requirements.
- Build strong relationships with clients and suppliers while delivering a high level of service.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, reconciliation, and billing accuracy in coordination with accounting.
- Maintain accurate documentation, systems, and compliance with both company and client standards while improving processes where possible.
Requirements
- Background or strong interest in meetings management and client management.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and stay organized under pressure.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills.
- Hands-on experience with Cvent.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to plan ahead.
- Knowledge of the pharmaceutical sector is helpful but not mandatory.
- English skills are a plus; native-level German and strong verbal communication are required.
