Regional Manager - Southwest Asia

Overview

Intrepid GS is looking for a Regional Manager based in Qatar to oversee daily regional operations and contract oversight across their Southwest Asia portfolio. This role collaborates closely with the Director of Operations to drive efficient execution, ensure customer satisfaction, maintain contract compliance, and support business expansion within the region's engineering and support service projects.

Key Duties

• Manage daily operational activities at Southwest Asia sites to ensure service quality, timeliness, and customer criteria are met for engineering, facility maintenance, and support functions.
• Act as the main on-site government customer liaison, nurturing strong relationships and proactively addressing concerns to maintain positive collaborations.
• Analyze performance data, create operational reports, and highlight risks or concerning patterns to escalate to higher management.
• Oversee vendor and subcontractor partnerships regionally, ensuring adherence to contracts, resolving issues, and monitoring performance.
• Develop and maintain robust local supply chains to guarantee consistent availability of materials, equipment, and services across all regional locations.
• Support human resource needs including recruitment, scheduling, and allocation of engineering, facility, and support staff.

• Facilitate management of regional contracts and task orders by tracking scope, deliverables, and compliance with contract terms.
• Help draft and review contract amendments, including equitable adjustments as required.
• Ensure compliance with federal acquisition regulations such as FAR/DFARS relevant to government contracts.
• Maintain detailed documentation and prepare audit-ready records for contracts, vendor agreements, and performance reports.

• Assist the Director of Operations and business development team in recognizing and cultivating new opportunities within Southwest Asia.
• Use established customer and vendor relationships to gather market intelligence and identify growth potential.
• Provide operational insights for capture activities and proposal development.
• Strengthen connections with government clients, subcontractors, and industry stakeholders to support business pipeline growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• Prior leadership experience managing site operations within engineering, facility, or base support service settings.
• Proven track record handling customer, vendor, and supply chain management in a regional operational environment.
• Knowledge of government contract management and required documentation processes.
• Willingness to reside full-time in Qatar and adapt to overseas living conditions.
• Strong communication and coordination skills for liaising with diverse government, vendor, subcontractor, and internal teams.

Preferred Attributes

• Experience with government engineering or base support service contracts specifically in Southwest Asia.
• Established networks within the regional vendor and supply chain landscape.
• Exposure to business development or capture efforts in government contracting contexts.

Additional Information

• Active or eligibility for U.S. Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance required.
• Travel within Southwest Asia region expected as part of job duties.
