About the Role
The position of Regional Head for Gold Loan located in Hyderabad aims to steer growth, profitability, and maintain high portfolio standards across the region. This role involves leadership in sales, operational oversight, risk management, ensuring regulatory obligations are met, along with fostering customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Expand gold loan portfolio across regional branches and meet set disbursement, revenue, and market share objectives.
- Identify and tap into new markets and potential growth areas.
- Supervise branch performance and implement necessary corrective measures.
- Manage and mentor Area and Branch Managers, along with frontline staff, fostering a culture of accountability and high productivity.
- Conduct periodic performance reviews, training programs and manpower planning to optimize team capabilities.
- Ensure portfolio health by controlling NPAs, complying with credit policies, valuation standards and audit guidelines.
- Keep track of delinquency patterns and establish strategies for recoveries while enhancing fraud prevention and risk management.
- Oversee branch operations ensuring adherence to SOPs, improving process efficiencies, turnaround times, and service delivery.
- Comply strictly with RBI regulations and internal policies, ensuring audit tasks are completed without any critical issues.
- Boost customer acquisition and retention initiatives, nurturing relationships with key clients and local influencers.
- Monitor customer satisfaction levels and handle escalations effectively.
- Lead regional brand promotion and market penetration activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in credit, risk, HR, operations, and product management for aligned strategy execution.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- At least 10-15 years experience within BFSI sector, explicitly with Gold Loan or secured lending portfolios.
- Minimum 3-5 years in senior leadership roles managing multiple branches or locations.
- Sound knowledge of gold valuation methods, branch operations, and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated success driving sales growth and leading extensive teams.
- Strong analytical ability, leadership acumen, and skillful stakeholder engagement.
Performance Indicators
- Achievement of portfolio growth and disbursement benchmarks.
- Maintaining portfolio quality focusing on low NPAs and delinquency.
- Branch efficiency and workforce performance metrics.
