Position Overview
The Regional Director of Operations is tasked with enhancing operational performance and ensuring consistency across a complex transportation network. Reporting on execution aligned with customer expectations, profitability, and growth initiatives is a key responsibility. This leadership role bridges strategy with hands-on operational execution, focusing on performance standards, reliability, and data-driven improvements.
Key Duties
- Drive operational excellence by standardizing processes and enforcing accountability across the regional network.
- Continuously assess and improve procedures to boost efficiency, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
- Utilize performance analytics and business intelligence to monitor trends, identify risks, and recommend improvements.
- Manage financial aspects such as budgeting and operational efficiency tracking in line with corporate goals.
- Ensure service reliability by evaluating network performance and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Optimize network design through data-driven geographic expansion and capacity planning.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Six Sigma and other process improvement methods.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
- Over 10 years of progressive leadership experience in operations and engineering within logistics, transportation, or supply chain sectors.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and driving operational transformation projects.
- Strong proficiency in transportation operations, network management, financial analysis, and service standards.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and development of executive-level dashboards and scorecards.
- Analytical strength in applying statistical techniques and operational modeling.
- Preferred experience with enterprise operational systems, such as AS/400, and Six Sigma certification.
Leadership Competencies
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and influence operational teams and senior executives.
- Excellent communication skills capable of conveying complex operational concepts clearly.
- Demonstrated success managing initiatives across multiple regions and departments.

Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive salary ranging from $150,000 to $180,000 annual base pay.

Physical Demands and Environment
