Role Summary
This is a full-time remote leadership position responsible for managing operational performance across a designated region and keeping execution aligned with the company’s broader strategic objectives. The role focuses on day-to-day regional oversight, improving workflows, allocating resources effectively, and coordinating work between publishing, marketing, and customer support functions. The position also requires tracking performance metrics, reviewing operational data, and putting improvement plans into action to strengthen efficiency, service quality, and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
The Regional Director of Operations will guide regional teams, support staff development, manage budgets and forecasts, and help maintain consistent service standards across all locations and remote operations. In partnership with senior leaders, this person will contribute to regional planning, support new initiatives, and reinforce a workplace culture built on accountability, inclusion, and ongoing improvement.
Qualifications

The role calls for strong analytical ability, including the capacity to review information, spot patterns, and make decisions based on evidence. Team leadership experience is important, especially in guiding diverse groups, coaching employees, and building collaboration in remote or distributed environments.
Budget planning and resource control are key parts of the job, along with a strong customer service mindset that supports positive experiences for authors, partners, and internal teams. Candidates should also have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organization, and the ability to manage several priorities at once in a fast-moving environment. A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related discipline is required, while an advanced degree or relevant certification is considered advantageous. Experience in publishing, media, or another creative field is helpful but not mandatory. Comfort using digital tools, virtual collaboration platforms, and reporting systems is also expected.
