Role Summary
The Global Business Director is a remote, full-time position responsible for accelerating international growth and shaping business strategy across McArthur Publishing’s markets. The role focuses on global planning, market evaluation, and improving revenue outcomes while keeping regional actions aligned with overall company goals. It also requires leading cross-functional teams, defining performance targets, and ensuring sales, marketing, and operations work together effectively to support authors and partners globally.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will study market movements, design and execute expansion strategies, develop and nurture important business relationships, and track key performance indicators. You will also work closely with senior leadership on long-range strategy, improve business workflows, and identify new opportunities for partnerships and innovation.
Qualifications
- Ability to analyze market information, financial statements, and performance data to support strategic choices.
- Background in business planning and global strategy, preferably in publishing, media, or a similar field.
- Strong leadership experience managing varied teams, including distributed and cross-cultural groups.
- Solid sales and business development experience, including account management and international revenue growth.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, along with strong negotiation skills for building partnerships across regions.
- Well-developed organization and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-moving environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Marketing, or a related discipline; an MBA or equivalent advanced degree is considered an advantage.
- Global perspective, cultural sensitivity, and experience working across multiple countries or regions.
- Comfort using digital collaboration tools and CRM or sales management systems.
- Experience in publishing or media is helpful but not mandatory.
