Overview
This position involves leading and overseeing multiple dental practice sites across CT, MA, NH, VT, ME, and Upstate/Western NY regions, with approximately 14 practices, over 36 providers, and $54.5 million in annual revenue. The goal is to ensure operational excellence, financial success, and adherence to regulatory standards while fostering strong partnerships and driving strategic growth initiatives.
Key Duties
- Develop and implement monthly travel schedules to visit and connect with partner practices and direct reports.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with partner dentists, practice leaders, and team members.
- Support onboarding and ongoing growth of new associates through proactive engagement and communication.
- Participate actively in weekly field visits, leading by example to motivate teams.
- Focus on critical areas including financial management, human resources, recruitment, revenue cycle management, payer relationships, accounts payable, procurement, and marketing.
- Drive change management by standardizing procedures and spearheading growth initiatives.
- Effectively communicate organizational vision, strategic plans, and operational updates to all leadership and teams, ensuring clarity and alignment.
- Mentor office managers and practice leaders, facilitating individual development plans to enhance their growth potential.
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with managers; build trust with partner surgeons and associates, and provide tools to set measurable goals.
- Identify opportunities for organic practice growth, cost reduction, and profitability improvement.
- Lead monthly management operating reviews (MORs), create SMART action plans for underperforming practices, and track progress.
- Spot operational inefficiencies and share best practices to promote organic expansion.
- Collaborate with compliance teams to resolve issues and ensure adherence to regulations and company policies.
- Champion employee retention and engagement, while promoting company-wide initiatives.
- Oversee coding initiatives to ensure recommended changes are properly implemented.
- Align management by objectives (MBO) around optimizing practices and best practices.
- Maintain ongoing communication with VP of Operations to synchronize goals, streamline processes, and coordinate with other departments.
- Authorize practice-related approvals and escalate critical matters to the VP for final decisions.
- Review and process employee bonuses and salary increases in conjunction with VP approvals.
Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of leadership experience within healthcare, preferably in dental or medical practice settings.
- Demonstrable success managing multiple locations and diverse teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or closely related discipline.
- Strong leadership capabilities with effective team-building aptitude.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal abilities.
- Capacity to influence stakeholders and navigate change effectively.
- Outstanding organizational skills and ability to prioritize under pressure.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving competencies.
- Proficient in financial oversight including P&L statement understanding.
- Knowledgeable of compliance regulations and healthcare standards.
- Familiarity with practice management software and related technologies.

Additional Information
The base salary range for this position is $90,000 to $110,000 annually. Specialty1 Partners is the employer for non-clinical roles; clinical staff are employed by respective practice entities.
