Job description

About the Role

Roche is looking for a Commercial Capability Development Lead to help define and expand capability-building across the Middle East. In this role, you will bring together strategic thinking and hands-on execution to strengthen core commercialization skills across the region. The position begins as a solo contributor role, with the possibility of building and leading a team later on. Your work will support commercial, access, regulatory, and medical teams as they help deliver meaningful healthcare innovations to patients.

What You’ll Do

  • Assess functional and cross-functional capability needs, then turn those insights into structured learning paths and regional capability maps.
  • Support change efforts and organizational development initiatives across the region, ensuring they align with wider healthcare business priorities.
  • Create and facilitate engaging learning sessions and workshops, both in person and online, covering scientific, commercial, and behavioral subjects.
  • Work closely with internal teams and outside stakeholders to communicate regional development priorities and scale learning programs across the organization.
  • Plan for future growth by identifying upcoming skill needs, helping align budget requirements, and laying the groundwork to recruit, onboard, and coach a future team.

What We’re Looking For

You should be an entrepreneurial and collaborative professional who can turn operational gaps into modern, well-structured learning experiences in complex environments.

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, Human Resources, Economics, or equivalent practical experience in operational effectiveness and adult learning.
  • Strong experience in learning and development, including curriculum design, blended learning platforms, and adult learning methods, ideally in pharmaceutical or healthcare settings.
  • A solid background in change management and transformation, with experience working through traditional or agile approaches.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, relationship-building, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to influence diverse stakeholders.
  • Potential or experience in hiring, onboarding, coaching, and developing high-performing teams in the future.
  • This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports.
