Position Overview
Roche Singapore Technical Operations (RSTO) seeks a strategic and inspirational Head of Manufacturing based in Tuas, Singapore. This full-time, permanent leadership role demands steering manufacturing excellence, embedding a proactive quality and safety culture, and leading a high-performing team to deliver vital healthcare products.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide visionary leadership by fostering a motivated team environment with clear communication and shared urgency.
- Develop and implement strategic objectives while managing the manufacturing organization’s budget and financial outcomes.
- Engage as a key member within the Site Leadership Team, promoting cross-functional collaboration locally and across Roche’s global network.
- Champion change as a visible agent advocating openness, adaptability, and continuous learning cultures.
- Ensure all manufactured products comply with stringent Health Authority regulations and Roche’s Pharmaceutical Quality System standards.
- Maintain cGMP compliance and readiness for regulatory audits, representing manufacturing operations during inspections.
- Own manufacturing plants, equipment, and infrastructure, collaborating with MSAT and Facilities & Engineering for validations, technology transfers, maintenance, and repairs.
- Monitor deviations actively, leading root cause analyses and implementing effective permanent corrective actions.
- Embody and promote the PT Lean Production System to drive continuous improvements, experimentation, and improved labor efficiency.
- Support production planning and oversee In-Process Control analyses to ensure smooth operations meeting schedules and financial targets.
- Enforce safety, health, environmental, and security protocols rigorously and take full accountability for their execution.
- Empower employees through effective training, ensuring competence and safety in all operational tasks.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Proven leadership managing large-scale pharmaceutical or biological manufacturing under cGMP regulations, leading diverse cross-functional teams.
- Comprehensive technical knowledge in pharmaceutical manufacturing technologies, validation, and technical transfers.
- Strong understanding of Health Authority requirements, quality risk management practices, and deviation investigation methods.
- Business savvy with experience in lifecycle management, optimizing operational costs, and overseeing departmental budgets.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities combined with a passion for Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
