Role Overview

The Region Head of HR will work closely with regional leadership to shape and execute HR strategies that align with the company's business goals across the region. This role involves driving organizational and leadership development, supporting restructuring and integration efforts, overseeing workforce planning, and leading full-spectrum HR operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with regional management to craft and implement human resources and organizational strategies in line with business objectives.
  • Lead initiatives for organizational transformation, leadership growth, and succession planning regionally.
  • Manage strategic workforce planning efforts to facilitate sustainable business expansion.
  • Direct comprehensive HR functions including talent acquisition, performance appraisal, remuneration, employee relations, and learning & development.
  • Ensure strict adherence to German labor legislation and maintain productive partnerships with Works Councils and employee representatives.
  • Develop and refine policies, processes, and governance mechanisms to enhance HR operations quality.
  • Utilize HR metrics and analytics to guide executive decision making.
  • Serve as a trusted consultant for senior leaders on issues related to leadership, team effectiveness, and organizational change.
  • Mentor leaders to improve organizational management and catalyze a culture of accountability and high performance.
  • Represent the company at external HR events, industry conferences, and within professional networks to strengthen employer branding across Europe.
  • Promote ongoing external communication related to corporate culture and organizational development.
  • Forge partnerships with academic institutions, industry bodies, and talent communities to enhance recruitment and brand presence.
  • Act as a cultural liaison linking global corporate values with European regional practices.
  • Build and lead a regional HR team committed to consistent, high-quality service delivery and collaborative synergy with global HR counterparts.

Candidate Profile

  • Possess at least a bachelor's degree, with a preference for a master’s degree.
  • Bring a minimum of 15 years of progressive human resources experience including positions in HR leadership within Germany or the broader European region.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive expertise in German labor law and effective collaboration with Works Councils.
  • Exhibit seasoned skills in organizational development, change facilitation, and leadership training.
  • Experience working within multinational corporations and matrix reporting structures is essential.
  • Fluency in both English and German languages is mandatory.
  • Prior involvement in employer branding initiatives, external representation, or speaking engagements related to HR topics is highly advantageous.
