Opportunity
As the Red Line Cleaner, you will maintain cleaning and sanitation standards for red lines, ensure they remain orderly, and keep them fully supplied with consumables and uniforms. The role is based at the Auckland Richard Pearse Drive site within Abbott Nutrition Supply Chain.
Key Duties
- Maintain plant and equipment at consistently high cleanliness standards in line with quality and site requirements.
- Help drive companywide efforts that improve cleaning operations so the production area meets pathogen management expectations and visual GMP standards.
- Work closely with manufacturing and production managers when hygiene or GMP improvements are needed.
- Carry out cleaning tasks proactively according to the assigned schedule and established procedures.
- Respond to environmental results and adjust systems to improve outcomes.
- Be prepared to attend essential training, team meetings, customer events, or trade shows outside normal working hours, including evenings and weekends.
Quality, Safety and Environmental
- Take part in regular department meetings with the relevant manager or supervisor to support ongoing feedback and improvement.
- Follow ISO-related quality policies and procedures to help achieve business quality objectives.
- Comply with all occupational health, safety, and environmental rules, procedures, and work practices to reduce the risk of harm to people and the environment.
- Use and maintain any PPE issued by Abbott.
- Report accidents or incidents within 24 hours using the designated system and inform your manager.
Conduct and Compliance
- Ensure all work by you and others follows employment laws, health and safety obligations, and global company policy.
- Support a strong standard of quality and customer focus.
- Follow the Abbott Code of Business Conduct.
- Act in line with Abbott values: Pioneering, Achieving, Caring, and Enduring.
- Stay current with Abbott standard operating procedures and policies and ensure ongoing compliance.
- Make sure company activities comply with relevant legislation, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
- Submit timesheets accurately and on time through the assigned system.
- Complete all training assigned to this role by the required due date.
Requirements
- NCEA Level 1 or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
- Prior experience in commercial or industrial cleaning is an advantage.
- Knowledge of environmental pathogens and hygiene standards is beneficial.

This position is based at Auckland Richard Pearse Drive (RPD).
