Role overview

Abbott is hiring a Production Operator for its Clonmel, County Tipperary site on a permanent contract for the weekend evening shift. The role sits within Abbott Ireland Vascular Division and focuses on carrying out a range of electronic, mechanical, or electro-mechanical assembly activities on parts and sub-assemblies. The position also involves setting up and running automated or semi-automated equipment, along with supporting tasks such as labelling packages and inserting product data sheets.

What you will do

  • Carry out assembly, repair, inspection, and testing activities in line with written instructions.
  • Operate different types of manufacturing equipment by following documented English-language procedures.
  • Keep tools and equipment clean according to approved maintenance and cleaning methods.
  • Complete and maintain records on authorised documentation.
  • Dispose of hazardous waste in the designated hazardous waste areas.
  • Identify routine issues and contribute practical suggestions for improvement.
  • Provide training support to colleagues when required.
  • Keep all required job certifications current to remain compliant.
  • Complete assigned work within the planned schedule, following supervisor guidance on task priorities.
  • Handle sensitive information and documents confidentially.

Important employment conditions
