Role overview
Abbott’s vascular division in Clonmel is seeking a Manufacturing Operator to carry out assembly, machine operation, inspection, and related production tasks within a regulated manufacturing environment.
What the role involves
- Perform a range of electronic, mechanical, or electromechanical assembly tasks on finished products and sub-assemblies.
- Set up and run automatic or semi-automatic equipment as required.
- Follow written work instructions to assemble, repair, inspect, and test products.
- Operate manufacturing machinery and equipment according to documented procedures in English.
- Clean tools and equipment in line with approved procedures.
- Complete and maintain required records on approved documentation.
- Dispose of hazardous waste in the designated hazardous waste areas.
- Help resolve routine issues and provide practical suggestions where needed.
- Train other employees when required.
- Keep all required job certifications current to remain compliant.
- Complete daily assigned work to meet schedule, using supervisor guidance to prioritise tasks.
- Work within clearly defined procedures and exercise limited judgement when solving straightforward problems.
- Protect sensitive information and documentation through appropriate confidentiality practices.
- Follow all applicable corporate and divisional policies and procedures.
What the employer offers
The package includes competitive pay, bonus opportunity, and a broad range of benefits. Pay is listed at €17.40 per hour for the 2-cycle shift arrangement, inclusive of shift allowance, and €18.56 per hour for the weekend shift, also inclusive of shift allowance. The bonus target is 10%.

Working pattern
- 2-cycle shift: Monday to Friday, covering day and evening shifts
- Weekend shift: Friday to Sunday
