About the Position
Join the expanding team at AESTEC Services in Gladstone, Queensland, as a Recruitment Officer. This role has been established due to substantial company growth and a strong influx of upcoming projects. As a vital member of the recruitment unit, you will focus on sourcing, engaging, and onboarding skilled employees across various trades, maintenance, and project-based roles, contributing significantly to workforce expansion and organizational success.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the entire recruitment process, from job postings to employee onboarding
- Collaborate with hiring managers to determine staffing needs and identify suitable candidates
- Develop and maintain pools of talent to meet present and future workforce demands
- Conduct active candidate sourcing and market research
- Review applications, conduct interviews, and handle pre-employment checks
- Organize job offers, onboarding, and induction procedures
- Build strong relationships with external recruitment agencies and labor hire companies
- Assist in workforce planning and recruitment strategy formulation
- Ensure all hiring practices comply with company policies and employment laws
- Keep abreast of recruitment trends and best practices for continuous improvement
- Provide recruitment advice and support to management and supervisors
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of two years’ experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or a related field preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving capabilities
- Professionalism in handling confidential and sensitive information
- Proficient in computer use, including recruitment software and Microsoft Office suite
- A proactive mindset with a strong team orientation
A qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline is advantageous but not compulsory.
