Role Overview
We seek a Recruitment Consultant who will manage a portfolio of faculties and departments, collaborating closely with leaders to identify, attract, and secure outstanding academic and professional talent. This role emphasizes building trusted relationships with hiring managers to comprehend workforce requirements, develop effective attraction strategies, and ensure exceptional recruitment outcomes aligned with best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the recruitment process across assigned faculties and departments
- Establish strong partnerships with hiring managers, serving as a trusted recruitment advisor
- Provide market insights, talent intelligence, and strategic guidance on attraction methodologies
- Proactively identify and engage high-quality candidates
- Lead hiring managers through the recruitment process following best practice standards
- Support workforce planning, talent pipelining, and anticipate future hiring requirements
- Ensure recruitment practices comply with employment laws, University policies, and best practice benchmarks
- Utilize recruitment data and insights to enhance process efficiency and outcomes continuously
Work Conditions and Remuneration
This is a permanent full-time position based onsite. The salary band ranges from NZD 87,000 to NZD 118,000 (Band G) with a structured framework comprising developing, target, and upper zones. Typical appointments fall within NZD 93,201 to NZD 107,500 based on experience, skillset, and equity considerations. The University is open to discussions regarding compensation expectations within the published range.
