About the role
The Don Bosco Monastery in Benediktbeuern is a spiritual center run by the German Province of the Salesians of Don Bosco. Around 150 employees work here in support of the mission “Youth, Creation, Education. Today for tomorrow.” The site includes an education center, a nature conservation center, and a guest and conference center. It is a place where people come together to pause, experience nature, and learn.
The guest and conference area offers guest rooms and event spaces in historic, protected buildings with a distinctive atmosphere.
Your tasks
- Serve as the first point of contact by welcoming guests, visitors, and staff in a professional and friendly manner.
- Represent the Benediktbeuern monastery to the outside world.
- Hand over and collect room keys.
- Process payment transactions.
- Handle occupancy and booking requests by phone and email.
- Inform guests about internal events and, where relevant, external events.
- Keep the occupancy calendar up to date at all times.
- Act as the central contact point for enquiries, complaints, and similar matters.
- Prepare organizational tasks related to guest stays.
Your profile
- Confident use of MS Office; experience with hotel booking software is an advantage.
- Completed training in hospitality or a comparable role in the service sector.
- Good working knowledge of standard PC applications.
- High level of commitment and motivation, with the ability to work independently and take responsibility.
- Strong social skills and a courteous, approachable manner on the phone and in direct contact.
- Enjoys teamwork and is flexible with working hours.
- Identifies with the Christian understanding of people and the values and principles of the Salesians of Don Bosco, and is willing to take part in training sessions as well as retreats or religious reflection days.
