About the Role
If organization is your second nature and you greet Monday mornings with a smile, this opportunity is for you. Enjoy engaging with guests from all corners of the world at the Jugendherberge München-Park, a large youth hostel with 374 beds and a team of 34 members.
Working Hours and Schedule
Starting 01.09.2026, the position offers 40 hours per week with rotating early and late shifts. You will work 5 days scattered throughout Monday to Sunday, including a 50% premium for Sundays and public holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver warm, knowledgeable, and friendly assistance to guests throughout their stay, from check-in to check-out.
- Handle inquiries from potential guests and assist current guests with room bookings and selecting program offerings.
- Manage the booking system ASSD, ensuring good occupancy year-round, performing booking confirmations, monitoring appointments, and issuing invoices.
- Collaborate closely with the kitchen and other departments to ensure smooth operations, particularly for special dietary requests and event coordination.
- Take responsibility for small sales or bistro service when needed.
Candidate Profile
- Previous experience in reception or a similar role with a passion for working with diverse people.
- Proficient computer skills and familiarity with booking systems to keep calm and organized during busy periods at the front desk.
- A polished appearance and a friendly, guest-focused attitude are essential.
- Independent, structured, and solution-oriented work style paired with a cooperative and helpful nature appreciated by colleagues.
- Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken, enabling seamless communication with international guests and a multicultural team.
