Role Summary
We are seeking a part-time Receptionist (Front of House Host) for a 12-month fixed-term contract based in Edinburgh, supporting an accounting and consulting firm. As the initial point of contact, you will establish a welcoming environment with a warm smile and professional demeanor. Representing the firm with pride, you'll engage effectively with visitors and staff across all levels, making this role ideal for customer service experts who enjoy frequent interpersonal interactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding greetings and maintain positive first impressions for all visitors and employees.
- Manage multiple responsibilities concurrently, including meeting and event support, room bookings, telephone call handling, security vigilance, and administrative tasks.
- Respond promptly to enquiries and take full ownership of issues until resolved, acting as a reliable point of contact within the building.
- Operate independently as the sole Portico team member on-site while collaborating with the wider team.
Working Hours and Compensation
This position requires 32 hours per week, with shifts running from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM on Monday through Thursday. The annual salary is £22,380.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience in a front of house or receptionist role, ideally in a corporate environment.
- Exceptional communication skills across various platforms with a friendly, adaptable, and professional attitude.
- Strong organizational abilities and proficiency in Microsoft Office and IT systems.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
