Job Overview
South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture is seeking a motivated Receptionist to join the team at Carluke Leisure Centre. This part-time role involves handling customer inquiries, managing cash transactions, issuing receipts, and using an electronic booking system. The position offers 10 hours per week on a rotating schedule, with the role fixed until March 31, 2027.
Work Schedule
- Week 1: Friday 5:15 PM - 9:30 PM, Sunday 8:15 AM - 7:00 PM
- Week 2: Saturday 8:15 AM - 5:00 PM
Compensation
Hourly wage ranges from £13.80 to £14.27.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all cash handling duties, including reconciliation, issuing receipts, and preparing deposits according to established standards.
- Respond to customer inquiries while maintaining high customer care standards.
- Perform clerical tasks to support smooth reception and facility operations.
- Promote the centre's activities to visitors.
- Handle the receipt and distribution of mail and goods.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in a customer-focused role is desirable.
- Experience with computerized till systems is preferred; comprehensive training will be provided.
- Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.
