Job description
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated reception team member or front office manager who is enthusiastic about hospitality and guest relations. You will be the face of our hostel, ensuring guests have a pleasant and smooth experience from check-in to check-out.
Responsibilities
- Represent the a&o brand as the primary contact point at the front desk.
- Manage guest check-ins and check-outs seamlessly at the reception or lobby as a Guest Relation Officer.
- Attend to guests' needs and provide them with relevant tourist information to enhance their stay.
- Handle guests' concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Take leadership as shift supervisor, ensuring smooth operations throughout the shift.
- Help draft work and vacation schedules within the team.
- Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages and snacks at the bar as needed.
Candidate Profile
- Prior experience or completed training in hospitality or tourism sectors.
- A strong sense of responsibility and dedication to assigned tasks.
- Enjoyment in engaging with guests consistently at any hour.
- Ability to work independently while being an effective team player.
- High commitment and self-motivation are essential.
- Capability to maintain friendliness, motivation, and service focus during early morning or various shifts.
- Excellent German language skills and good command of English; additional language proficiencies are a plus.
