Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking a welcoming, professional Front of House Receptionist to serve as the face of a premium commercial office building located in Maidenhead. This position requires delivering an outstanding first impression to tenants, visitors, and contractors while upholding a polished reception environment.
Work Schedule
The reception operates weekdays from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM with two shift patterns:
Role 1: Monday and Tuesday 8am–6pm, Wednesday 8am–1pm
Role 2: Wednesday 1pm–6pm, Thursday and Friday 8am–6pm
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a professional and warm greeting to everyone entering the building.
- Manage busy periods with courtesy and confidence.
- Oversee reception operations including visitors, deliveries, contractors, and couriers.
- Prepare refreshments for guests when required.
- Respond to minor building inquiries and direct concerns appropriately.
- Maintain an organized, neat, and professional reception area.
- Support tenant experience initiatives, communications, newsletters, and events enhancements.
- Perform routine checks on reception and surrounding areas, reporting any maintenance or presentation concerns.
- Communicate effectively with tenants, service partners, and colleagues.
- Create update reports, tenant communications, and promotional materials, using tools like Canva as appropriate.
- Ensure high standards of presentation, conduct, reliability, and punctuality.
- Work independently with initiative and sound judgment, escalating issues as necessary.
- Coordinate with contractors, cleaners, security, and building management to uphold standards.
- Contribute ideas for value-added services and community initiatives.

Desirable Skills (Not Mandatory)
- Experience with Canva or similar design and communication platforms.
- Past event coordination or support experience.
- Familiarity with commercial building environments.
- Experience in tenant engagement, newsletter creation, or value-added services.
Additional Information
The role requires consistent on-site presence and may involve lone working, with support from the property management team. Occasionally, assistance at another site within reasonable travel distance may be requested.
