Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Law Clerk for a contract role focused on real estate legal analysis. This remote opportunity offers compensation ranging from $42 to $55 per hour, with a weekly commitment between 10 to 40 hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and assess land control documents such as deeds, ground leases, rights of way, and easement agreements, focusing on terms, exclusivity, and conveyance clauses.
- Detect deficiencies, gaps, and execution-related issues within site control documentation sets.
- Compile and present findings in clear, standardized formats to facilitate senior legal review.
- Assist due diligence processes by managing and annotating various land and real estate documentation.
- Identify any non-compliance or incomplete filings in alignment with project specifications and regulatory standards.
- Engage with senior reviewers to escalate and resolve complex documentation challenges.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience as a paralegal or legal document reviewer, ideally within the energy, real estate, or infrastructure sectors.
- Hands-on expertise with reviewing land control instruments like deeds, ground leases, easements, and rights of way.
- Strong capacity to critically evaluate legal terms regarding term, exclusivity, and conveyance.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to organize information systematically in standard formats.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote, document-intensive setting.
