Job description
Overview
This position supports RBC's Investment Banking Industrials Group by providing analytical, due diligence, and transactional assistance on restructuring, workouts, leveraged buyouts (LBOs), acquisitions, and new business initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct financial modeling, prepare pitch book presentations, perform detailed company research, and analyze data to assist advisory services for mergers & acquisitions and corporate finance deals.
- Identify operational risks and control weaknesses proactively within business activities and ensure compliance with firm-wide policies.
- Report any operational risk incidents, control deficiencies, or emerging risks promptly to managers and relevant risk control teams.
- Fulfill additional duties as reasonably assigned related to the role.
Qualifications and Competencies
- Completed Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education.
- At least one year of professional experience relevant to investment banking, private equity, corporate finance, or closely related fields.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel applications.
- Possession of Series 79 license.
- Exemplify collaboration, relationship-building, clear communication, integrity, and inclusiveness in work approach.
Compensation and Benefits
The expected salary for this role ranges from $110,000 to $135,000 annually, depending on factors such as experience, skills, registration, market conditions, and business needs. This base salary excludes discretionary bonuses and benefits like 401(k) matching, health/dental/vision/life/disability insurance, and paid time off.
