Job Overview
We are seeking two Ready Mix Concrete (RMC) Drivers to operate in the Cork region, delivering products safely and punctually to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with logistics and local management to ensure timely and safe deliveries of Kilsaran products.
- Carry out all scheduled collections and deposits efficiently to support excellent customer service.
- Verify the safety of deliveries upon arrival and respect customers' property, consulting management or customers if unsure.
- Obtain customer signatures to confirm deliveries and maintain accurate records.
- Keep a detailed schedule of all deliveries and collections.
- Operate trucks safely to prevent injury and property damage.
- Follow all relevant laws, company policies, and procedures while using equipment.
- Conduct daily safety and maintenance checks on vehicles.
- Adhere to Tachograph laws and driver hour regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness of trucks and cabins as scheduled or needed.
- Report any accidents or incidents promptly as per company policy.
- Participate in required training sessions to fulfill driver role responsibilities effectively.
- Assist in yard duties when requested by the Location Manager.
- Ensure safe and secure storage of trucks and equipment.
- Lead by example in health and safety compliance, promptly report hazards and follow company safety rules.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Ability to work independently without supervision.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety related to vehicle movements on site.
- Sound decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
- Courteous, respectful interaction skills with clients and the public.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Holder of a valid C or CE driving license.
