Overview
Located in Thunder Bay, Ontario, this full-time Ramp Agent role operates onsite within the Airports North America branch. As a unionized position (IAMAW), the starting pay is $18.15 per hour. Shift premiums apply with an additional $0.50 hourly between 18:00 and 23:00 and $1.00 hourly between 23:00 and 06:00. No prior experience is necessary.
Role Description
Working as a Ramp Agent means preparing aircraft for safe and timely departures by performing tasks such as refueling, replenishing water supplies, loading cargo, pushing back the aircraft, and loading luggage during tight turnaround windows. The role demands physical activity and teamwork within a dynamic airport environment across all weather conditions.

Requirements
- Valid driver's license for operating heavy machinery on airside.
- Physical capability to repeatedly lift up to 70 lbs.
- Successful passing of medical evaluation including drug and alcohol tests.
- Availability to attend and complete the comprehensive training program.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts covering all 24 hours, weekends, and holidays.
- Commitment to safety, security, punctuality, and dependability in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team daily.
- Eligibility to obtain necessary transportation security clearances and authorizations in compliance with Transport Canada.
- Must have legal authorization to work in Canada at the time of job offer; obtaining related permits or visas is the applicant's responsibility.
