Role overview
For the Wetzlar area, we are looking for dependable career changers to join the security team as ticket inspectors. The position is based on a 40-hour work week and is offered as a permanent role, with the earliest possible start immediately. The hourly pay is listed at EUR 16.00 to EUR 25.00.

What the job involves
- Check passengers’ tickets carefully and help keep operations running smoothly on the train.
- Explain ticket rules in a polite way and answer questions about fares and ticket conditions.
- Record passenger counts and ticket checks accurately to support service quality.
- Respond quickly and professionally when unexpected situations arise to maintain order and safety on board.
- Work closely with train staff to ensure a calm and pleasant travel experience for everyone.
Candidate profile
- Strong communication ability to interact clearly and effectively with passengers and colleagues.
- Good interpersonal skills and empathy to handle passenger concerns and create a positive atmosphere.
- Ability to work well in a team in a fast-moving environment.
- Confidence and assertiveness to handle challenging situations and enforce rules reliably.
Entry and training support
No §34a licence? That is not a problem. Applicants without this qualification are welcome, and the employer will support the required §34a GewO training and help with the transition into security services. Both experienced candidates and career changers from other professions may apply, including people with backgrounds such as warehouse work, driving or hospitality.
