About the Role
Be part of an innovative initiative transforming grocery shopping in the MENA region with Amazon Ultra-Fast-Grocery (UFG). This role focuses on launching new business lines from scratch and ensuring the superior quality of Meat, Seafood, Produce, and other perishables—key differentiators for Amazon UFG customers.
As a Quality Specialist, you will collaborate closely with vendors to optimize their processes and consistently uphold Amazon's stringent quality standards. Daily operations involve inspecting products and driving enhancements in processes through close coordination with different internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess the quality of incoming Meat, Seafood, Fruits, Vegetables, Eggs, and other perishables at Amazon locations including stores, hubs, and vendor sites.
- Reject defective or damaged items, documenting rejected items by vendor and quantity.
- Audit quality control during the picking and packing stages executed by LPC associates.
- Supervise adherence to packaging standards and perform daily inspections of bins, sharing reports with stakeholders.
- Conduct training sessions for store and hub employees on quality standards, SOPs, and packaging techniques.
- Work schedule may include weekends but will not exceed a total of 40 hours per week.

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in effective written and oral communication across organizational levels.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially advanced MS Excel skills.
- Certifications such as HACCP, PIC 3 (Dubai Municipality), ISO 22000, GMP.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety concerning fruit and vegetable quality, with familiarity of the Dubai Al Aweer central fruit market.
Preferred Experience
- Background in fast-paced, technologically sophisticated environments.
- Proficiency in managing multiple priorities while adhering to deadlines.
- Experience communicating with senior leadership and customers.
