Job description
Position Overview
The Logistics Specialist is responsible for timely delivery of customer products, ensuring adherence to commercial driving regulations, safety protocols, and delivery schedules.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Execute delivery of goods punctually and assist in loading and unloading activities.
- Pick and pack products accurately for customer deliveries.
- Verify all documentation associated with shipments.
- Report any inconsistencies or discrepancies in received orders to the immediate supervisor.
- Conduct basic vehicle maintenance and complete checklist inspections.
- Handle delicate and sensitive materials with care.
- Perform tasks carefully to minimize risks to the environment, health, and safety.
- Segregate waste appropriately and maintain cleanliness in the work area.
- Suggest improvements to management systems to the immediate supervisor.
- Adhere strictly to company management system procedures.
- Follow company safety rules and guidelines as outlined in the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Risk Assessment.
- Avoid unsafe or negligent behaviors that could endanger self or others.
- Utilize provided personal protective equipment to maintain safety during operations.
- Contribute to environmental protection, pollution prevention, and promote sustainable practices as per company policy.
- Carry out additional assignments as required.
Qualifications and Skills
- Completion of GCE 'N' Level or equivalent secondary education.
- Minimum of one year driving experience.
- Holder of a valid Class 4 driving license.
- Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks within allocated timeframes.
- Efficient time management skills to meet deadlines.
