Loss Prevention Specialist

To maintain the security and operational continuity of this network, we seek a proactive and meticulous Security and Loss Prevention (SLP) Specialist. This pivotal role involves providing comprehensive security services across our supply chain to safeguard personnel and prevent losses.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to emergency and crisis preparedness plans for sites under your supervision to enhance business resilience.
• Identify vulnerabilities related to loss, employee experience, and process efficiency, and develop appropriate mitigation strategies in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Act as the primary liaison for local management and external stakeholders such as law enforcement and industry bodies on security-related issues.
• Ensure assigned sites conform to Amazon's global security policies and standards.
• Conduct regular physical security inspections and investigate incidents involving policy breaches, security events, and losses.
• Gather and analyze data through system monitoring, reports, and interviews to pinpoint process weaknesses and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain the integrity of physical security systems by auditing their status and working alongside experts and service providers to ensure optimal functionality.
• Coordinate daily with external security service providers to guarantee the provision of high-quality security solutions and a seamless customer experience.
• Provide education and awareness programs related to loss prevention and interact with various internal and external departments on policy and procedural matters.

About the Team

Part of the Global Security Operations, the Security and Loss Prevention team supports Amazon’s objectives by protecting associates, customers, and assets while ensuring business continuity and preserving brand reputation. This is achieved through early risk detection, incident intervention, thorough investigations, and collaboration with stakeholders to uphold supply chain security end-to-end.

Qualifications

• Experience in roles involving security services, asset protection, loss prevention, risk management, inventory management, investigations, auditing, or supply chain operations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook in professional settings.
• Fluency in German (speaking, writing, reading) and good command of Business English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
• Knowledge of physical security best practices, including security systems, investigative methodologies, and managing contract security personnel.
• Prior experience in distribution centers, logistics, or manufacturing environments.
• Competence in data handling and analytics.
• Possession of a valid driver's license.
