Job description
Job Overview
The position involves scheduling and coordinating independent inventory observations for resale/prepaid merchandise and fixed assets. The candidate will organize unannounced cash counts and internal control examinations for various non-appropriated fund activities, documenting findings and reporting to division leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Arrange independent observer inventories and prepare purchase requests for contracted observers.
- Execute surprise cash counts and internal control audits, documenting outcomes for management review.
- Conduct physical security inspections during cash counts to ensure compliance with regulations concerning key control, fire and safety measures, and facility security.
- Manage records and documentation for new change fund or petty cash fund administrators, maintaining and distributing fund lists as necessary.
- Develop guidelines and instructions related to assigned tasks and perform other assigned administrative duties.
Employment Conditions
- Direct deposit setup and possession of a Social Security Card are mandatory.

Candidate Qualifications
- Proficiency with computer spreadsheet and word processing software.

- Experience in accounting principles and cash handling protocols.
- Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least two years of experience in Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) programs is highly favored.
