Job description
Role Overview
This position manages the fiscal resources and strategic direction of the Directorate, Morale Welfare and Recreation (DMWR) Community Recreation Division, primarily through oversight of activity managers. It entails providing leadership, supervision, and clear communication of mission objectives throughout the division, alongside developing effective policies and strategic plans for resource allocation, facilities, and programming.
Responsibilities
- Oversee overall fiscal management and operational direction of the DMWR Community Recreation Division through subordinate activity managers.
- Lead and supervise personnel while communicating organizational goals and mission to subordinates.
- Establish policies and guidelines to meet division objectives effectively.
- Create strategic plans concerning resources, facilities, and program development.

Qualifications
- Minimum of one year experience managing or directing one or more DFMWR recreation programs for a garrison or equivalent civilian organization.
- Agreement to complete and submit a Financial Disclosure Statement (OGE-450) upon hiring and annually thereafter.
Highly Preferred Qualifications:
- At least one year of leadership in managing a Community Recreation Division within a garrison or comparable civilian community.
- Three or more years of supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of non-appropriated fund operations, including NAF Major Construction and Capital Purchase Minor Construction (CPMC).
Education
No formal educational qualifications are required for this position.
Additional Information
