Quality Assurance Quality Control Lead

Role Overview

The QA/QC Lead is tasked with guaranteeing that all mining operations, procedures, and deliverables consistently satisfy quality benchmarks and adhere to regulatory mandates. This position manages the creation, execution, and supervision of quality assurance and control mechanisms spanning exploration, extraction, and production phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing compliance with Safety, Health, Environmental, and Community (SHEC) regulations by delivering financial data and reports that highlight potential concerns.
• Strictly observe and enforce all SHEQ policies and standards at Khoemacau Mine.
• Foster a workplace environment that supports achieving SHEC criteria and promotes safety-conscious behavior.
• Design and roll out comprehensive QA/QC frameworks, policies, and procedures to uphold superior quality levels.
• Supervise and audit mining workflows, resources, and outputs to confirm conformance with industry norms and project requirements.
• Organize testing, inspection, and documentation processes related to mining activities and equipment.
• Lead investigations into quality defects and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct training and provide mentorship to site staff on QA/QC protocols and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with engineering, operational, and project teams to encourage ongoing improvement.
• Compile and sustain detailed quality documentation and reports for internal management and external partners.
• Coordinate with project managers to forecast budgetary and financial impacts associated with quality functions.
• Engage with finance, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure synchronization of financial and contractual objectives.
• Offer financial advice and assistance to project teams as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Automation or a relevant discipline.
• Master's Degree in Engineering Management is advantageous.
• At least 10 years of comprehensive QA/QC experience specifically within the mining sector.
• Strong familiarity with industry regulations, safety guidelines, and compliance standards.
• Proficient in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office suite, and SAP software.
