Role Overview

The Quality Assurance & Compliance Associate joins our Supply Chain Quality & Production team to support U.S.-based quality operations. This position is crucial in making sure every product adheres to FOCO's safety, compliance, and performance standards before shipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-shipment inspections and ongoing quality checks during production.
• Review and verify the accuracy of test reports, factory submissions, and inspection documents.
• Maintain digital records including QA/QC logs, trackers, and documentation.
• Coordinate rework efforts and resolve quality defects as they arise.
• Manage supplier compliance documentation for programs such as SEDEX, FLA, FLMA, NCAA, Disney, Walmart, and Amazon.
• Support internal and vendor audits and ensure compliance requirements are met.
• Communicate with suppliers regarding documentation and compliance expectations.
• Assist with creating and updating product specifications and packaging confirmations.
• Ensure product adherence to general safety regulations and retailer standards.
• Collaborate with product teams on early risk assessments.
• Work cross-functionally with global offices including China-based QA teams to track sample status and inspection progress.
• Partner with sourcing, design, and production teams to close quality feedback loops.
• Provide technical documentation assistance to suppliers.
• Monitor and report customer complaints and assist in analyzing quality trends.
• Contribute to monthly QA scorecards and other internal quality reports.
• Participate in training related to QA systems, product safety, and compliance as well as industry-specific online learning modules.
• Travel to Asian factories (mainly China) for audits and inspections up to 30-35% of the time.

Qualifications

• Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Effective communication and diligent follow-up capabilities.
• Ability to handle multiple projects efficiently in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Experience with QA systems is a plus but not mandatory.
• Collaborative attitude, curiosity, and eagerness to learn.
• Previous experience in QA/QC or product compliance is advantageous but not required.
