Job description
About the company
FOCO, also known as Team Beans/Forever Collectibles, is a worldwide brand specializing in officially licensed products for sports and entertainment fans. The company works with the major professional leagues, including the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, MLS, and NCAA, and also develops merchandise tied to entertainment and character properties.
Its product range includes apparel, accessories, footwear, home products, collectibles, and novelty goods, all created and produced through a well-established global supply network. FOCO focuses on bringing fans closer to the teams, athletes, and moments they care about through inventive, market-aware design.
The opportunity
FOCO is looking for a Graphic Designer focused on graphic tees to create standout licensed sports apparel artwork across a growing product line. The position centers on building original, trend-led designs that respect league and brand standards while adding new fan-driven ideas and storytelling.
You will work closely with teams across Product Development, Merchandising, and Licensing to move projects from concept through production. This role is a strong fit for a creative professional with solid experience in sports, apparel, and licensed products who can thrive in a busy, high-volume setting.
What you will do
You will design original graphics for licensed sports apparel, with a primary focus on graphic t-shirts, and create master artwork files with complete production-ready specifications. Your work will need to stay aligned with league, team, and brand rules at every stage.
You will prepare detailed art packages that include sizing, callouts, bill of materials elements, and print instructions. In addition, you will format artwork for a variety of decoration methods such as screen printing, heat transfer, embroidery, and appliqué, while using strong typography, layout, and composition throughout.
You will also research sports, fashion, and pop culture trends to guide creative direction, develop mood boards and concept presentations, and produce non-calendared and special-request designs for priority initiatives.
On the collaboration side, you will partner with Product Development, Merchandising, and Licensing teams, support presentation decks and seasonal assortment reviews, and communicate design ideas clearly to internal stakeholders.
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related discipline is preferred, or you may bring equivalent practical experience. The role requires at least 4 years of experience in apparel design, ideally in sports or licensed merchandise.
You must have a strong portfolio showing apparel graphics and production-ready design work. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, is expected, along with strong skills in typography, color, and composition.
Experience with production art and apparel embellishment methods is important, as is the ability to stay detail-oriented while managing several projects at once.
Preferred experience includes working with licensed sports leagues such as the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, MLS, and NCAA, exposure to entertainment or character-based brands, experience in retail, DTC, or consumer goods environments, and familiarity with project management tools.
Key competencies
The role calls for creative concept development, apparel graphic design, visual storytelling through typography, technical production execution, trend awareness in sports and pop culture, cross-functional teamwork, and strong time management in fast-moving environments.
Why FOCO
You will have the chance to create products for some of the biggest sports leagues and teams in the world while working in a creative, collaborative, and fast-growing environment. The role offers exposure to design, licensing, and product development, along with competitive benefits and employee merchandise discounts.
