About the Role
We are seeking a qualified Traffic Management Operative to join our team based in Somerton. You will primarily work 48 hours per week with opportunities for overtime and must be adaptable to weekend shifts. While day shifts are common, flexibility to work evenings, nights, and away from home during busy periods, as well as participation in an on-call rotation, is expected. Access to a company vehicle is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring road safety during works by coordinating temporary road closures, detours, and pedestrian walkways
- Managing traffic equipment including cones, signage, traffic lights, and barriers
- Mentoring new trainee operatives and sharing your expertise
Qualifications and Requirements
- Possession of M1/M2 Lantra or above certifications or SLG Unit 2 considered
- Familiarity with Chapter 8 traffic management regulations
- Valid full driving licence with no more than 6 points and no recent driving bans expired within 5 years
- Ability to pass drug and alcohol screenings
- Strong positive attitude with a proactive and adaptable mindset
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and work away as needed
- Attention to detail and a methodical approach to safety
- Willingness to sign a training agreement for traffic management training
