Role overview
The QHSE Officer will support Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment practices within facilities management operations. This position is centered on keeping active project sites compliant, safe, and well controlled through inspections, audits, incident follow-up, and close coordination with site teams.
This opportunity is for full-time, on-site work in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Key responsibilities
- Carry out routine QHSE inspections, site walks, audits, and compliance reviews across FM project locations.
- Track adherence to HSE policies, procedures, permit systems, risk assessments, and method statements.
- Spot unsafe behaviors, unsafe site conditions, compliance gaps, and quality issues, then ensure corrective and preventive actions are followed through.
- Assist with investigations into incidents, accidents, near-misses, and non-conformances, and prepare clear documentation and reports.
- Keep QHSE files up to date, including inspection logs, audit records, training records, and compliance trackers.
- Support toolbox talks, safety briefings, awareness campaigns, and site-based QHSE training sessions.
- Work with operations, maintenance, supervisors, subcontractors, and client representatives on all QHSE-related matters.
- Ensure alignment with Saudi legal requirements, company standards, client expectations, and project-specific QHSE procedures.
- Monitor PPE usage, work-at-height controls, electrical safety, housekeeping, waste handling, emergency preparedness, and permit-to-work compliance.
- Support internal and external audits and help close findings within agreed timelines.
- Help build and maintain a strong safety culture and disciplined QHSE behavior across the site team.
Requirements
- A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, Quality Management, or a similar field.
- At least 3 years of QHSE experience.
- Prior exposure to Facilities Management, IFM, O&M, maintenance, building services, or similar large operational environments.
- Solid understanding of site safety practices, risk assessment, incident reporting, inspections, audits, and corrective action follow-up.
- Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, ISO 45001, ISO 9001, or ISO 14001 are an advantage.
- Strong communication ability and confidence working with project teams, supervisors, technicians, subcontractors, and client representatives.
- Good report-writing skills and working knowledge of MS Office tools.
- Willingness to work on-site and travel or relocate to different project locations across Saudi Arabia if required.
Preferred profile
- Background in FM and O&M operations.
- Comfortable handling site-level issues and operational challenges.
- Able to work independently with limited supervision.
- Careful, organized, and committed to maintaining high QHSE standards.
- Strong follow-through and capability to close corrective actions effectively.
