Job description
Role Overview
The HSE Leader™ is hiring a QHSE Officer for its Riyadh operations. This position is restricted to female candidates because of cultural requirements. The role is offered as a 1-year employment contract with the possibility of renewal.
Key Duties
- Work alongside the QHSE Manager to keep estate-level QHSE policies and procedures up to date and properly implemented.
- Carry out regular site checks, observe day-to-day safety practices, and help ensure compliance with Fire Life Safety (FLS) requirements.
- Help organize and deliver staff training, safety talks, and fire evacuation drills.
- Identify hazards through risk assessments, escalate findings, and suggest corrective measures to the QHSE Manager.
- Support quality audits, snagging follow-ups, and reviews of contractor compliance.
- Prepare, file, and maintain accurate safety documentation, logs, and reports for both internal and external use.
- Coordinate with employees, contractors, and service providers to reinforce adherence to QHSE standards.
Experience
The ideal applicant should have 1 to 2 years of experience in a QHSE or HSE position, preferably in hospitality, luxury estates, or facilities management. Prior involvement in inspections, reporting, and audit support is expected, along with familiarity with Fire Life Safety and occupational health procedures.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a closely related discipline is preferred. A NEBOSH International General Certificate or an equivalent HSE qualification is mandatory. Additional safety or ISO-related certifications will be considered an advantage. Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.
