Role Overview
Gan Teck Kar Foods is looking for a QA/QC Executive to support food production quality assurance and food safety activities in Singapore. The role is based onsite and involves handling inspections, documentation, testing coordination, and audit support across production and laboratory-related tasks.

Key Responsibilities
- Check production areas against ISO 22000 standards and customer specifications, then report any corrective actions needed to the appropriate teams.
- Keep ISO 22000 documentation and records current, and contribute as a member of the Food Safety Team.
- Carry out inspections for outbound goods.
- Run physical and microbiological testing on finished products, along with environmental checks on facilities and personnel.
- Work alongside the R&D chef on shelf-life studies and trend reviews when needed.
- Arrange sample submissions with external laboratories when required.
- Identify unusual findings during testing, investigate them, and escalate them appropriately.
- Draft Certificates of Analysis when necessary.
- Maintain laboratory supplies and ensure the lab remains clean and orderly.
- Verify the concentration of cleaning chemicals used in operations.
- Investigate customer complaints and prepare corrective action reports as needed.
- Support internal, external, and regulatory audits.
- Serve as the Qualified Personnel for food export processes and work with relevant authorities such as SFA and HPB.
- Complete assigned work in line with company and department objectives.
- Handle other duties assigned by management.
Requirements
- A Degree or Diploma in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Microbiology, or a related field is required.
- At least 2 years of experience in quality assurance or microbiological laboratory work, preferably in the food sector.
- Strong understanding of ISO 22000 Food Management System, GMP, GLP, and ICP.
- Applicants should demonstrate a constructive attitude, sound analytical ability, eagerness to learn, teamwork, initiative, and good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate in more than one language will be advantageous.
- Must be comfortable using Microsoft Office tools.
