Role Overview
The graduate role within our Tax team in Wellington, beginning February 2027, involves working alongside tax experts known for their technical knowledge and practical focus. The team delivers specialised, innovative tax solutions to tackle complex business challenges, ensuring clients meet their tax responsibilities efficiently and compliantly. You will participate in diverse tasks such as advising clients on tax regulations and business impacts, supporting government tax policy, implementing technology-assisted tax reporting, managing multinational tax compliance, and exploring areas like GST and transfer pricing.
Candidate Profile
- Recent graduates or final-year students with degrees in Commerce, Business (majors in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Taxation, Information Systems, Computer Science), Law (LLB or conjoint), Arts in Economics, or Engineering
- Strong academic results
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Effective written and verbal communication skills suited for client and colleague interaction
- Ability to work independently and own tasks confidently
- Curious mindset with motivation to learn continuously
- Strong organisational skills in balancing multiple priorities
- Collaborative nature with aptitude in building relationships
- Comfort and adaptability with technology and emerging AI practices
