Role overview
This opportunity is for a PSP Financial Analyst based in Germany and is being handled on behalf of a partner employer. The selected candidate will support payment operations by combining financial analysis, reconciliation, and process oversight to help ensure accurate, efficient, and financially sound payment flows across several providers.
The position involves working with sizable financial data sets, tracking balances, reviewing provider costs, resolving discrepancies, and improving procedures in a dynamic international setting. It is suited to someone who can balance analytical work with stakeholder coordination and operational control.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain regular contact with payment service providers and oversee day-to-day coordination while making sure contractual commitments are followed.
- Track balances across multiple payment platforms and strengthen financial control over ongoing payment activity.
- Review fees, exchange rates, commissions, and contractual terms to uncover savings opportunities and enhance efficiency.
- Match transaction data against provider statements, dig into mismatches, and ensure records remain accurate.
- Support the prompt handling of customer payouts and company withdrawals while helping resolve payment issues.
- Keep documentation for payment processes up to date and suggest improvements informed by financial analysis and operational findings.
Required profile
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in financial analysis, finance operations, payment operations, reconciliation, or a similar finance-focused role.
- Strong command of Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets, including the ability to work with large data sets and produce financial reports.
- Hands-on experience with reconciliations, balance checks, transaction review, and financial reporting.
- Solid understanding of financial processes, cost management, and management accounting concepts.
- Strong analytical thinking, careful attention to detail, and the ability to investigate and close financial gaps.
- Comfort working independently, handling several priorities at once, and adapting in a fast-moving environment.
- Good communication skills for working with internal teams and external payment providers.
- Intermediate English or above for written communication.
- Background in payment service providers, fintech, banking, e-commerce, retail, or iGaming is an advantage.
- Tableau or another BI tool experience, plus basic SQL knowledge, is a plus.
