Job Summary
The Property Officer will oversee the upkeep and management of common areas within a group of public housing flats under a specific Town Council. This role demands responsive interaction with Members of Parliament and residents, coordination of maintenance routines, and collaboration with grassroots organizations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and maintain common areas for a designated cluster of public housing units.
- Address feedback from MPs and residents promptly.
- Coordinate and implement maintenance activities such as cleaning, conservancy, landscaping, horticulture, and scheduled improvement projects.
- Collaborate with grassroots organizations regarding common area management.
- Supervise contractors' performance on routine and cyclical maintenance as well as improvement initiatives.
- Ensure that estate key performance indicators (MND scores) are achieved.
- Provide assistance to Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, or Senior Project Officer on special assignments as necessary.
Requirements
- Educational qualification of Higher Nitec in Building, Real Estate Management, Property Management, Building Services, Facility Systems Design, Facility Technology, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent; or GCE O Level plus minimum five years of relevant estate management and maintenance experience; or recent Diploma graduates.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with residents and grassroots leaders.
- Ability to work quickly and diligently.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team.
